Grade C Plus Accepted in OET Writing by Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC
Grade C+ Accepted in OET Writing by NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
From January 2020, The UK’s Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has started accepting a grade C+ in Writing in OET. If you get a minimum B Grade in your OET reading sub-test, listening sub-test and speaking sub-test, your C+ grade in OET writing sub-test will not be a matter of big concern. You will still be considered eligible and proficient in English.
Actually, this decision by the NMC was in line with accepting a band score of 6.5 in IELTS. In the past, it was a band 7. It was important for the candidates to score IELTS score 7 in all the four modules, similarly, it was necessary for the OET candidates to secure at least a grade B in in all their sub-tests but now, NMc is accepting an IELTS score of 6.5 in IELTS and C+ grade in OET writing.
OET writing provides a more accurate understanding and evaluation of the writing skills of the medical professionals and it is known to perfectly meet the standards in any healthcare setting workplaces.
As OET writing sub-test is tough, so a large number of candidates were missing out on the chance to get qualified. Many of the nurses or midwives were facing difficulties in getting through it as getting B was a big task. But, now with the decisions of the NMC it has become easier for the nurses and midwives to secure the required score very easily.
